Pastoral Epistle – March 28, 2024
Beloved Congregation,
Greetings in Jesus!
“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2
Our Lord, Jesus Christ, bore all the shame and pain enduring the suffering of crucifixion because he greatly delighted in fellowship with us. So, he became the author and finisher of our faith. We are blessed to set our eyes on him in all situations.
We had a blessed Palm Sunday Service: We are thankful to all our volunteers who helped with making crosses and decorating the sanctuary. Others who trained our Sunday School children to do a super nice Palm Sunday program. We are thankful for the Easter Egg Hunt for the children and for the Easter Piñata for our youth. You all made it a wonderful celebration overall. Glory to God in the highest!
Maundy Thursday in person service: You are , invited for our Maundy Thursday service, today, March 28th at 7.30 pm followed by Holy Communion and Stripping of the altar. Stripping of the altar is a solemn ceremony to express our gratitude to God for his unfathomable sacrifice and also our expectation of his triumph over death.
Good Friday Service is on March 28th at 10.30 AM.
We will be meditating on the Seven Words from the Cross. Kindly join in person and be blessed.
Easter Sunday Service is on March 31st at 10.30 AM followed by Holy Communion. Join us in person to celebrate the victory of our Lord over death and be blessed.
Special Prayer evening: Let us meet at Markham Chinese Alliance Church on Thursday, April 4th at 7.00 pm for a time to pray together for our upcoming Centenary Concert.

Cricket Tournament this year: Last year St. Bedes won the tournament effortlessly! I was glad to witness our team’s prowess! This year the tournament is on July 13th. I encourage everyone to join and encourage our champions.
