Pastoral Epistle – March 25 2026
Beloved Congregation,
Greetings in Jesus!
“Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, just as we hope in You.” Psalms 33:22
On Palm Sunday we celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. He was followed by a large crowd who were celebrating his kingship. Jesus is King; so we can hope in His mercy in all situations.
Praise God for the lovely Fasting and Prayer last Friday. We had a blessed prayer time. We interceded for various needs and for our parishioners.
We had the concluding Lent Service on March 25th on Zoom with the theme as Jesus is King of kings. The recording is shared on our WhatsApp church group if you want to watch and be blessed.
Palm Sunday Service: This Sunday we will celebrate our Lord’s Triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Please join in person service at 10.30 AM. Let us celebrate our Lord’s triumph together.
Visiting Seniors Home: This Sunday, we will be visiting O’Connor Seniors Home after Coffee Hour. Visiting is at 1.00 PM sharp. Please join us for this wonderful ministry. For further details please contact Vyjayanthi Veluppillai.
Distributing Flyers: This Sunday we will also distribute flyers inviting children in our neighborhood to join us at church for Easter Egg Hunt. Please support us to distribute the flyers in our neighborhood.
Maundy Thursday Service: This solemn service begins at 7.30 PM on April 2nd. We will have Holy Eucharist and Stripping of the Altar. Please join and be blessed.
Good Friday Service: Join in person on April 3rd at 10.30 AM. We will meditate on the Seven Sayings of Jesus on the Cross. Please join and be blessed.
Easter Sunday Service: The celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord will be at 10.30 AM on April 5th followed by Holy Eucharist. Please join in person and be blessed.
The lent calendar along with the holy week schedule and the calendar with tentative dates for all the upcoming events is attached.
An evening of Praise: Saturday, April 11th 6:30pm, at Christ Church Scarborough. Rev. Ravi Kalison has invited our church to present a musical evening, “Goodness of God” to celebrate their 180th anniversary. Please join and be blessed. Please see the attached flyer for details.
House Prayer Meetings: Please register for house prayer meetings according to your zone. The link to the excel sheet is shared in the Church WhatsApp group.
