Pastoral Epistle – November 29, 2023

Beloved Congregation,

Greetings in Jesus! 

“Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven! For His mercy endures forever.”   Psalms 136:26

Our Lord who is the God of heaven came down to earth to seek and to save us because His mercy endures forever.  

Advent season:  This week we will enter December.  With thankful hearts we look behind at the eleven months of God’s blessings and guidance. This season is very special to our church in particular as we celebrate our Centenary.  

Big thank you to all volunteers who gave precious time at church decorating our Christmas Tree.  Celebration is in the air!! 

Santa Claus Fund Delivery Driver volunteers needed for this upcoming weekend to distribute gifts in the Scarborough and Oshawa/Whitby areas.  Kindly register to volunteer.  You can contact Kirthana or Tina George for more details. 

Friday Fun for our children: This Friday, December 1st kindly bring your children to church for fun and fellowship activities. 

Time: 7.00 – 8.00 pm. 

First Sunday in Advent HOPE:  Please try your best to attend in person service.  We will light the Candle of Hope! 

Singing Carols in our neighborhood.  This Sunday, December 3rd we will go into our neighborhood singing Carols to spread the Good News of Christmas!  Please come prepared to walk through our neighborhood.  We will be distributing flyers and chocolates!!  Those who can play music, please bring your instruments.

Christmas Tree with Santa: Sunday, December 17th we will have our Christmas Tree Celebration. 

Please attend with family and be blessed. 

Christmas Eve Service: This year Christmas Eve falls on Sunday; therefore, we will have only evening service at 7.00 pm.  The service will be filled with carols and special songs. We will conclude the service with Holy Communion.
