Pastoral Epistle – November 15, 2023

Beloved Congregation,

Greetings in Jesus!

“He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name.”  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭147‬:‭4

Our God is sovereign. He is the creator of all things, seen and unseen.  He even knows the number of stars.  He has named each star. 

What a mighty God we serve!!

General Synod:  This Friday and Saturday, November 17, 18 we will have our 162nd General Synod at the Sheridan Parkway.  Our Synod representative, Viji Angela will be attending along with me and other volunteers from our parish.  Kindly remember in prayer. 

Advent Calendar: Our Advent Calendar for this season is on our homepage and also emailed.  Kindly go through and mark all important dates. 

Food Bank by our Sunday School:  Our children have been bringing non perishable food items for the past few weeks. Thank you parents for encouraging your child to think of the less fortunate people in our community.  We have delivered the items to the Food Bank of the church of St. Jude, Wexford.  The Rev. Greg Carpenter is thankful for our thoughtfulness. 

Outreach to our Community:  on Sunday, December 3rd soon after Coffee Hour, we will go around a few blocks in our neighborhood, singing Christmas carols and we will try to connect with our neighbors.  Kindly join this outreach venture. 

We are also considering reaching out to Senior Homes etc. Please remember in prayer. 

Ministry to the seniors of our parish:  As you know, we have a parochial group specially for our seniors.  We are planning to reach out to them and send them a gift during this Advent season.  Kindly remember in prayer.
