Pastoral Epistle – May 5th 2021

Posted on: May 6th, 2021 by St. Bede Anglican Church

Beloved congregation,

Greetings in Jesus.
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.‭‭  James‬ ‭1:27
This scripture verse is so relevant to us during this time.  We will always be ready to help anyone in need and also keep ourselves holy in God’s sight.

I’m thankful for the prayer time we had last Sunday following our service.  Our Lord will turn towards us in His mercy.   Let us continue in fervent prayer for India and for the world that God in His mighty power will wipe away this virus. We need a miracle for this and we acknowledge our God is a God of wonders! All that we need to do is to pray unceasingly and be steadfast in our faith.

We also remember the seniors of our church as they are unable to attend our services and are locked down in their homes. May our good Lord give them the grace to go through this situation.

This Sunday we will be celebrating “Mother’s Day”.  I take this opportunity to thank all mothers and mother figures for your commitment to your family and to the church.  May our Lord continue His goodness towards you.

I want to encourage each of you to invite your friends to our service.  They can attend from any part of the world.

Please take care of yourselves by following the safety procedures. As we are still in the middle of the “stay at home” phase, take this opportunity to spend more time with your loved ones and to draw closer to God.

I encourage you to read the Word of the Lord and have personal prayer time. Prayers do wonders!

Regards and blessings,
Pastor
