Pastoral Epistle – Aug 1st 2024

Posted on: August 6th, 2024 by St. Bede Anglican Church

Beloved Congregation,
Greetings in Jesus!

“You are all children of light and children of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.”
I Thessalonians 5:5

It is a great blessing to be a follower of Jesus Christ.  We are God’s children. We are people of light; not of darkness.  We have the light of God leading us through life’s journey.

We are already in the 8th month of this year. God has kept us through these past seven months and we are well into Summer of 2024. I pray for all the families who are travelling that God’s travel mercies be on you and give you safe vacation.

Church in the Park: Please mark Sunday August 18th, for Church in the Park at 10:30am, at Regents Park. (115 Westbourne Ave).  We’ll have an exciting Service and Potluck Fellowship. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

Centenary Concluding Celebration: Our concluding Centenary Celebration is on Saturday, October 19th.  Our area bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Kevin Robertson will be our celebrant and preacher.  Please mark the date and join us for this special celebration.

Seniors Ministry: Please continue to pray for Sheila and Valerie that God’s grace be on them to heal and recover. Thank you to everyone who are visiting and supporting them.

We are called to be the children of light and the children of day. May our Lord help us to keep shining for Him that everyone who sees us will see Jesus Christ who is the light of the world.

Regards and blessings,

Pastor
