Pastoral Epistle – Aug 28 2024
Beloved Congregation,
Greetings in Jesus!
“Now also when I am old and gray headed, O God, do not forsake me until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.” Psalms 71:18
We read the prayer of David asking God for His continued favour even when he is old. King David displays resolve and determination to declare God’s power to his generation and to the generations to come. We are encouraged to be strong witnesses of God’s power and his love for all people.
Back to School Prayer: This Sunday we will have special prayers for all our children who will be going to school and university this next week. Children are encouraged to bring their backpacks to church.
Sunday School : Sunday School after summer break will resume on Sept 8th during the service.
Bible Study: We will have our Bible Study on Wednesday, September 11th at 7.30 pm on Zoom. We will continue our study on the book of Deuteronomy. Kindly attend and be blessed.
Fasting and Prayer: Our Fasting and Prayer will be on Friday, September 13th at 7.30 pm at our church premises. Prepare to join us and be blessed.
Centenary Celebration: Our concluding celebration of 100 years of God’s faithfulness and guidance to the Church of St. Bede will be on Saturday, October 19th at 6.30 pm. Our area bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Kevin Robertson will be our special guest and keynote speaker.
