Pastoral Epistle – July 26, 2023

Beloved Congregation,Greetings in Jesus! 
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” ‭‭I Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭8
The Holy Bible distinctly states that we have an adversary and he is the Devil.  Devil walks about like a roaring lion.  Child of God!!  We have to protect ourselves by being sober and vigilant.  
Praise God for last Sunday:  Church in the Park was a wonderful experience.  The Lord ordained good weather for us.  We had an exciting service, variety of food and super good games.  Thanks to everyone who contributed to the service.  Special thanks to James for organizing lively music and to Tina and Serena for organizing super good games for all age groups.  
Following two Sundays:  On Sunday, July 30th Rev. Nico Montalbetti will be preacher and celebrant.  Tina George will lead the service.  We will have Holy Eucharist. On Sunday, August 6th  we will not have Holy Eucharist.  Viji Angela Jayachandran will lead the service.  Rev. Ravi Kalison will be priest on call.  For any pastoral emergency please contact our People’s warden.  I express my deep appreciation to both leaders who have accepted to serve in the house of God in my absence.  
Centenary Inaugural Service will be on Saturday, October 28th at 5.00 pm.  Kindly share contact information of your friends, whom you would like to be invited.  We have limited seating.  We are looking for a volunteer to help with writing a brief history of our church, highlighting the important events of the past 100 years.  Kindly let me know if you can help.
