Pastoral Epistle – April 21 2021
Beloved congregation,
Greetings in Jesus.
“May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob defend you.” Psalms 20:1
The Name of our Lord is our defense. He will defend us as we trust in His holy name.
I’m glad to be back after a week’s vacation. A few weeks back our Bishop of Toronto, Andrew Asbil, in his note, encouraged the clergy to take a break – mend a fence, re-build something..so I also did a small job of fixing the backyard door and got a metal piece pierce into my left hand index finger..though it was so small, it was quite painful, I was unable to dig it out by myself. Hospitals are not the most ideal place during this Pandemic, if I have to go in for emergency and get it removed. So I and Esther prayed that night and next morning I attempted to remove it again, as Esther was kneeling down in prayer without my knowledge; God enabled me to pull out the metal piece that was embedded quite deep by then..in two pieces though. This is a small incident, but it reminds us that we must be grateful to God and not take anything for granted. His protection and care must be acknowledge through our praise to Him. I have been praying fervently for our church. I have been asking God for His directions as we journey together as a community.
We are thankful for our Sunday School, Youth Fellowship and Young Adults fellowship. Please pray for our younger generation for God’s grace and guidance. Also please remember our choir members in prayer. May our Lord bless their ministry in His Holy Sanctuary.
Please continue to uphold our seniors in prayer. Some of our seniors are all by themselves. Pray for God’s presence to be with them. At this moment we again remember Anand’s family as they go through the loss of their beloved mother. Please uphold them in your prayers for grace from God to go through this grief.
I will be meeting each family on Zoom for fellowship and prayer. Please feel free to let me know what time is convenient for you.
