Christmas Cantata 2019: The recap!
We invited people to “Come to the Manger” — and they came in droves!
It was wonderful to see so many old friends and new faces in the pews as we spent a night filled with song, celebration and fellowship. After welcoming the crowd and kicking things off with a medley of Christmas favourites, our children performed “Don’t Forget Jesus,” in which a nativity scene comes to life — only to discover the baby had gone missing. They decide to reenact the story to get their saviour back — and it worked!
After the Sunday school choir performed “It’s Christmas” and “Go Tell It On The Mountain,” it was time for the adults to take the stage again — and they brought their powerful voices with them!
After the final number, the audience got a surprise — the children came back to the stage to join the choir for a bit of an encore:
Thanks to everyone who sang, played instruments, memorized lines, performed readings and cheered each other on. What a great way to feel the spirit of Advent as Christmas draws near.
Amazing photos. Enjoyed the Cantata!
Kids performed very well and the Choir rocked!
Thanks to the organising committee, Decoration committee, Choir leader (Samson), Children’s Choir leader (James), Play author (Shane), MC (Tina) and Sunday school leader (Malini).
