Message from Pastor Jennifer: Apocolypse now

As Christmas looms ever nearer, we begin to prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus as an infant into our world. 

Yet before Advent hits, we are asked in the church to explore what it means that Jesus has already come — and begin to examine what it means for him to come again.  

This coming Sunday we will be reading from Luke 21 – a passage known as the “little apocalypse,” and hear some words from Jesus about the signs to look for in regards to his coming again. 

Is it the end of the world as we know it?  Maybe – but with an eye to traditional Christian teaching, we will remember that perhaps a new vision is not only what we need, but what we are called to hope for.  

Come join us as we examine what the end may be – so we can focus on the new beginning in hope.
