The Mysteries of the Kingdom of God.

Matthew 13:11

The disciples asked Jesus why He always taught parables.  Jesus answered them that the mysteries kingdom of heaven cannot be understood by everyone, so He spoke in parables.

God’s Kingdom is Present

Genesis 28:16

God’s kingdom has always been present in the world.  God’s kingdom was present when Adam and Eve were created.  God visited them every day and communicated with them.  God’s kingdom was present at the time of Noah, Moses, David and during the time of Pentecost.  All through history God has revealed that His kingdom is present on earth. We are called to recognize God’s kingdom in our everyday life and to experience the kingdom of God in every situation. There are many things that happen that are not of God in the world; but we belong in the kingdom of God.

God’s Kingdom is powerful

Genesis 28: 17

The experience of Jacob in the wilderness reveals that God’s kingdom is powerful. Jacob confessed that the place where he lay that night was the gate to heaven, and he was afraid.  God’s power is revealed throughout the Holy Bible.  In the second chapter of the book of Daniel, king Nebuchadnezzar demanded from his wise men to reveal the dream and its interpretation.  Daniel was able to reveal his dream and interpret it that a stone not cut with hands meaning Jesus Christ will smash all kingdoms and will stand as a mountain over all the earth. There is always a connection between heaven and the earth. God is mindful of all His children. He who touches us touches the apple of God’s eyes.

God’s Kingdom is Pervasive

Genesis 28: 18

The third mystery that is revealed from Jacob’s dream is the pervasive element of God’s kingdom. God’s kingdom will fill the whole earth. Jesus sent His disciples to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. The Bible says that Jacob stood up the stone that he used as a pillow and anointed it with oil and called that place Bethel which means House of God.  The house of God is on the earth.  Jesus came to this world to save everyone from sin.  The Gospel will be preached to all people before the end comes. We, the true followers of our Lord everywhere around the world, are the most important people on the face of the earth.  So let us live in the kingdom of God. Jesus declared that  “The Kingdom of God is among you”  Luke 17:21   Amen!
