Sunday Sermon Summary – June 21 2026

Blessings of the Father 

John 1: 1-18 

Our Lord had an eternal plan for us when He created the world. He wanted us to be His children; therefore, God appointed the Son, our Lord Jesus Christ to make it possible. Here are some blessings we receive from our Father when we become His children.  

We receive Light  

John 1: 9 

The Holy Bible says that there was life in Jesus and that life was light to the world.  Jesus Christ is the embodiment of life and that life is light. In Isaiah 60: 1 & 2 we read the call to rise and shine for our light has come. Darkness will cover the whole earth; but still, we will have light to rise and shine. When we are blessed with divine light, we will not be confused or feel lost in any situation.  We will know that we will receive directions from our Lord.  Our Lord’s light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot comprehend it.  We are blessed by the Father through His Son to shine in the world.  

We receive Grace for Grace  

John 1: 16 

Our Lord who is eternal with the Father was incarcerated for us so that through Him we will receive grace from God. The law of God the Father was given through Moses; but grace and truth came to us through Jesus Christ.  Jesus is full of grace and from His fullness we receive grace for grace which means abundant grace. Grace is different from mercy. Sometimes we plead for mercy; but to receive grace is our right.  Grace is for all who follow our Lord. So, we who have received God’s grace have the privilege of asking for more grace because our Lord is full of grace. The Lord commanded Moses to put His name on His people, and He will bless them.  Numbers 6: 24 & 25 says, “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you; the Lord lift up the light of His countenance upon you give you peace.”  

We receive Revelation John 1: 18 

The Bible teaches us that nobody can ever see God during our life on earth.  Only when we meet Him after this life, we will see His face and rejoice in His glory.  Even Moses was given the opportunity to only see His back as God passed by. John 1:18 says that only Jesus Christ the Son who is in the bosom of the Father reveals Him to us. The more we draw closer to Jesus Christ, the more we will have a revelation of God the Father. God has eternally determined that He will reveal himself to the world only through the Son Jesus Christ. This calls us to draw close to Jesus that we may draw close to God.  For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ    Amen!
